Sunday, September 7, 2008 Emily and Dean VerBurg went to the swing and sadly reported that it was taken down, and so was the platform that you needed to climb up on inorder to reach the handle of the swing.

The Saddest day is Labor Day, when all the Docks and boats come out of the water. It is a sad site to see everything sitting on the shore. It means the end another 'care free summer'. But we have to be content with our wonderful new memories we made with our friends over the past few months, and start counting the months and weeks until we can start the process all over again.

Evenings and Nights

In the evenings and nights, 'Dean's' fire pit is the place to be! Cold weather or hot, there is always a fire going.

2008 Saturday August 9, Annual Fish Fry was another great success! Sooo much food. Everyone brought a dish to share, and all the fish were suplied by Howard Kittler (Resort Manager), Dave Dozeman, and Bob VandeKoople. We could not eat it all, even though it was like eating peanuts, once you start you can't stop. This was also the night of the annual Big Star Lake Association Water Ski Show.
